"Common sense is in everyone, but knowledge is not in everyone."
Only humans have common sense. Even animals other than humans have more or less common sense.
There is no need to go to an educational institution to acquire common sense. Because humans are naturally endowed with common sense.
People apply their common sense in various events in daily life.
But there are some things for which common sense is not enough. Knowledge is definitely required for this.
For example, if airplanes are not available to go from one place to another, then trains or other means of transport can be used. It is a matter of common sense.
But if there is a vehicle malfunction while traveling by plane or train or any other means of transport, the repair knowledge is more needed than common sense to solve the problem.
Basically, common sense is very effective in the limited scope of human life. With this common sense even an uneducated person can succeed to a limited extent.
But common sense on a large scale is never enough. Essentially knowledge is essential to succeed on a large scale.
Knowledge is like walking and knowledge is like flying. It is possible to walk from New York to California. You can also go by plane. But walking would require a lot of time and a lot of effort. Again it is possible to go by plane very comfortably and very quickly.

"কমনসেন্স সকলের মধ্যেই থাকে, কিন্তু জ্ঞান সকলের মধ্যে থাকে না।"
মানুষ মাত্রই কমনসেন্সের অধিকারী। এমনকি মানুষ ছাড়া অন্যান্য প্রাণীরও আছে কম বেশি কমনসেন্স।
কমনসেন্স অর্জনের জন্য শিক্ষা প্রতিষ্ঠানে যাওয়ার প্রয়োজন নাই। কেননা মানুষ সৃষ্টিগতভাবেই কমনসেন্সের অধিকারী হয়।
দৈনন্দিন জীবনে ঘটা বিভিন্ন ঘটনার মধ্যে মানুষ নিজের কমনসেন্সের প্রয়োগ করে।
কিন্তু এমন কিছু বিষয় রয়েছে যেগুলোর জন্য কমনসেন্স যথেষ্ট না। এর জন্য জ্ঞানের অবশ্যই প্রয়োজন আছে।
যেমন এক স্থান থেকে অন্য স্থানে যাওয়ার জন্য বিমান যদি না পাওয়া যায়, তাহলে ট্রেন অথবা অন্যান্য যানবাহন দিয়ে যাওয়া যেতে পারে। এটা হচ্ছে কমনসেন্সের একটা বিষয়।
কিন্তু বিমান দিয়ে হোক অথবা ট্রেন দিয়ে হোক অথবা অন্য কোন যানবাহন দিয়ে যাওয়ার সময় যদি যানবাহনের ত্রুটি হয়, তাহলে এই সমস্যার সমাধানের জন্য কমনসেন্সের পরিবর্তে মেরামতের জ্ঞানের প্রয়োজন বেশি।
মূলত মানব জীবনের সীমিত পরিসরে কমনসেন্স খুবই কার্যকরী বিষয়। এই কমনসেন্সের মাধ্যমে অশিক্ষিত ব্যক্তিও সীমিত পরিসরে সফল হতে পারেন।
কিন্তু বৃহৎ পরিসরে কমনসেন্স কখনোই যথেষ্ট না। মূলত বৃহৎ পরিসরে সফল হতে হলে জ্ঞানের অবশ্যই প্রয়োজন।
জ্ঞান হচ্ছে পায়ে চলার মতো।আর জ্ঞান হচ্ছে বিমান দিয়ে চলার মতো। নিউইয়র্ক থেকে পায়ে হেঁটে ক্যালিফোর্নিয়ায় যাওয়া সম্ভব। আবার বিমানেও যাওয়া যায়। কিন্তু পায়ে হেঁটে গেলে প্রয়োজন হবে অনেক সময় এবং বিরাট পরিশ্রম। আবার বিমানে খুবই আরামে এবং অনেক দ্রুত সময়ে যাওয়া সম্ভব।
তেমনি মানব জীবনের বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে কমনসেন্স এবং জ্ঞানের প্রয়োগের কারণে ফলাফল কম বেশি হয়। ©️All Right Reserved by Junayed Ashrafur Rahman
