There is nothing wrong with referencing someone else's work.
But it can never be acceptable to apply the good things of others as a reference to wrongdoing.
If this is done, the person who misuses it will have to bear the responsibility of that misuse.
For example:- I shot and killed war criminal commander Qutubaddi in the story “War of 1971”.
Thus, if a person kills another person or is arrested in the act of killing.
And later, referring to that story of mine, he said, “I learned the art of killing people by reading this story. Therefore, the author of this story should also be arrested.”
Then that would be an excuse, never a reference, and never admissible.
Similarly, in “The Fantasy of Education” I said, it is not safe to expect too much from education….
But if someone leaves institutional education and says, “I have left formal education after reading this text.” Then excuses in the name of such references will never be accepted. And the responsibility of dropping out of institutional education shall be borne by the person concerned.

“আমি কেউকেই বলি না আমার রেফারেন্স প্রদান করার জন্য।”
কারোর কাজে অন্যের রেফারেন্স দেয়া খারাপ কোন বিষয় না।
কিন্তু অন্যের ভালো বিষয়কে অন্যায়-অপরাধে রেফারেন্স হিসেবে প্রয়োগ করা কখনই গ্রহণযোগ্য হতে পারেনা।
এরকম করা হলে যে ব্যক্তি অপপ্রয়োগ করবে, সেই অপপ্রয়োগের দায়ভার তাকেই বহন করতে হবে।
যেমন :- “একাত্তরের যুদ্ধ” গল্পে রাজাকার কমান্ডার কুতুবদ্দিকে আমি গুলি করে হত্যা করেছি।
এভাবে যদি কোন ব্যক্তি অন্যকোন ব্যক্তিকে হত্যা করে অথবা হত্যা করতে গিয়ে গ্রেফতার হয়।
এবং পরবর্তীতে আমার ওই গল্পের রেফারেন্স প্রদান করে বলে যে,”এই গল্প পড়ে আমি মানুষ হত্যার কৌশল শিখেছি। অতএব এ গল্পের লেখককেও গ্রেফতার করা উচিত।”
তাহলে সেটা হবে অজুহাত, কখনই রেফারেন্স হবে না।এবং গ্ৰহণযোগ্যও হবে না।
তেমনি “শিক্ষার ফ্যান্টাসি” লেখায় আমি বলেছি, শিক্ষার তুলনায় অতিরিক্ত আশা করা নিরাপদ না…।
কিন্তু কেউ যদি প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক শিক্ষা ছেড়ে দিয়ে বলে যে,”আমি এই লেখাটা পড়ে প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক শিক্ষা ছেড়ে দিয়েছি।” তাহলে এরকম রেফারেন্সের নামে অজুহাত কখনই গ্রহণযোগ্য হবেনা।এবং প্রাতিষ্ঠানিক শিক্ষা ছেড়ে দেয়ার দায় সংশ্লিষ্ট ব্যক্তিকেই বহন করতে হবে।
অতএব, আমার যে কোন লেখাকে অন্যায়-অপরাধে রেফারেন্স হিসেবে প্রয়োগ করে যে কেউ দায়মুক্ত হওয়ার ব্যবস্থা গ্রহণ করে, তাহলে তাকে পুলিশে দিয়ে দেবেন। ©️All Right Reserved by Junayed Ashrafur Rahman
